The Guild

More advanced design projects may require more time and care than can be condensed into one-off, one-hour training sessions. So, in addition to the usual training and workshops, students will have the opportunity to join The Guild and work on lengthier, structured projects in small groups of two to 3 fellow SyBBUREites, journeying toward mastery of our makerspace tools and a more creative, well-rounded mindset for future projects.

Guild Interest Form – Due Monday, January 19th at noon

What is a Guild Project?

Instead of a traditional VIX project, VIX teams can sign up for The Guild.

VIX Teams will:

  1. Be required to participate in and complete all sessions associated with a semester-long Gidhub Guild Project before the end of the semester.

    • 1-1.5 hours/week for 4-6 weeks = Normal weekly VIX commitment

    • Sessions will be run by Guild Leaders Jad and/or Bryce.

  2. Submit Mockups and Project Roadmap with group goals for their chosen Guild Projects on time.

  3. Complete a Midway Presentation on their first completed Guild Project and a Final Presentation on their second completed Guild Project.

***10-12 students will be permitted to do The Guild as their VIX for this semester***
