Immersion

Please add SyBBURE as an Immersion experience even if you have another one already! You can have more than one and choose which you would like to use for your culminating project. If you want to use SyBBURE as your final project you just need to turn in one of your UGRF posters. The steps to add SyBBURE are:

  1. Fill out the Independent Experience Form

  2. Choose Research as the category

  3. Add me as a Faculty mentor: Jon Ehrman, jonathan.d.ehrman@vanderbilt.edu

  4. Under What do you already know about the project write:

    SyBBURE is a research and design program where uniquely different people gather to do cool stuff. It funds undergraduate students at Vanderbilt University to explore any aspect of STEM that interests them through independent research and team-based design projects. SyBBURE provides individualized mentorship and training to promote student personal and professional development within an extraordinary and inclusive community.

  5. Add the Organizational name: The SyBBURE Searle Undergraduate Research Program

  6. Under funding source write:

    SyBBURE provides a $9000/year stipend to perform research in a lab with Vanderbilt Faculty. Additionally it provides $2000/year for conference travel and $1000 per year for research and design project funds. I intend to use the funds to pursue independent research.

  7. Submit your invitation to SyBBURE email that Kyle sent when you first joined
